Integrative Emergency Services, LLC (“IES”) is looking for a Staff Accountant II who will be responsible for performing more complex accounting activities, supporting month-end close processes, preparing financial reports, and assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and audit activities while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and organizational policies. Having a CPA or working towards one would be a plus. Hybrid work schedule, Tuesday-Thursday in office, in North Dallas, TX, 75244.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The responsibilities listed here represent the majority of the role but are not all-inclusive; other duties may be assigned.

  • Record and maintain revenue and Accounts Receivable accounts
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and prepare supporting work papers for month-end close
  • Prepare invoices to be billed to outside parties
  • Maintain and reconcile fixed asset and prepaid schedules
  • Responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely recording of payroll entries
  • Post and reconcile intercompany transactions
  • Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation
  • Prepare recurring financial reports and supporting analytics for management review
  • Analyze accounting records and financial reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established standards
  • Review account activity, research discrepancies, and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Support internal control processes and compliance initiatives
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts
  • Assist with financial, billing, and tax audits by providing requested schedules and reports
  • Maintain financial records using current accounting systems and technologies
  • Assist with updating accounting procedures, forms, and departmental documentation
  • Assist in gathering and preparing financial information to support and operational decision making
  • Coordinate assigned accounting projects and support cross-functional initiatives
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls
  • Serve as a resource to junior team members regarding accounting processes and procedures
  • Utilize accounting and related software systems effectively to perform assigned responsibilities
  • Review accounting transactions, reconciliations, reports, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards and organizational policies

QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. 

  • Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and general accounting principles
  • Understanding of general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close processes
  • Ability to analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and resolve accounting issues accurately and timely
  • Knowledge of financial reporting practices, internal controls, and audit support activities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet established deadlines while maintaining a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to prepare financial reports, reconciliations, and supporting documentation
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments
  • Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and recommend practical solutions
  • Ability to provide guidance and support to less experienced team members
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment

Education / Experience:  Include minimum education, technical training, and/or experience preferred to perform the job.

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Management, or Finance
  • Two (2) years of accounting experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant accounting experience
  • Familiarity with Accounting software programs

Preferred:

  • 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience
  • CPA candidate or CPA certification
  • Experience supporting month-end close and financial reporting activities
  • Healthcare industry experience
  • Public accounting experience

  • Possess the ability to fulfill any office activities normally expected in an office setting, to include, but not limited to remaining seated for periods of time to perform computer-based work, participating in filing activity, lifting and carrying office supplies (paper reams, mail, etc.)
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20-25 pounds 
  • Fine hand manipulation (keyboarding)
