Integrative Emergency Services, LLC (“IES”) is seeking a Revenue Cycle Operations Manager who will be responsible for day-to-day oversight of revenue cycle operations internal resources and processes in order to properly manage assigned service line(s) which would primarily oversee Hospitalist service lines. Assisting other service lines could include, but is not limited to, Anesthesia, Emergency Medicine, Trauma & General Surgery, ICU, Urgent Care, Observation, and Primary Care. Responsible for effectively managing revenue cycle management vendors and serving as lead interface for assigned functional areas. Specific expertise in Hospitalists Revenue Cycle Management is desired

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitate and lead meetings with revenue cycle management vendors and establish accountability for delivery of outputs and analysis on a timely basis to key stakeholders.
  • Manages assigned day to day revenue cycle functions and team members.
  • Ensure compliance with coding standards and the rules and regulations therein.
  • Oversee quality assurance (QA) process for coding.
  • Manage projects specific to revenue cycle improvement, implementation, and transition.
  • Draft policies and procedures for managing processes associated with specific payers.
  • Educate providers and staff on best practices.
  • Work with finance and operations to develop standard client performance analytics, dashboards, drill path and alerts necessary to proactively identify issues with client performance.
  • Provide routine updates on client performance.
  • Contribute to new and organic business growth plans, including operationalizing the end-to-end revenue cycle function for incremental volumes and standardization of processes


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with guidelines, policies and procedures and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education / Experience:  Include minimum education, technical training, and/or experience preferred to perform the job.

Required:

  • 1-2 years leadership experience and/or operations management experience
  • 3-5 years experience in revenue cycle, patient financial services, billing office or related field
  • Extensive knowledge of medical terminology and revenue cycle industry

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Proficient understanding of data mining, statistical predictive modeling and financial modeling practices.
  • Prior experience with revenue cycle vendor management
  • Prior experience with Hospitalist service line billing 
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills

  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20-25 pounds 
  • Fine hand manipulation (keyboarding)

  • Office environment, Hybrid schedule after initial training period

    • Monday/Friday remote
    • Tuesday-Thursday in office 8am-5pm 
  • May visit hospital locations and vendors
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually low

TRAVEL
  • Up to 10% travel may be required including overnight stays.
