Integrative Emergency Services, LLC ("IES") is looking for a Contracting Manager. The focus of this role is to oversee and manage the performance of the contracting function, including leading the contracting team, with handling a high-volume and complex portfolio of agreements. This role ensures the delivery of efficient, accurate, and high-quality contracting services while driving process improvements, operational scalability, and a strong service-oriented approach across the organization. Work location is based at the corporate office at 4835 LBJ Fwy, Dallas, TX, 75244.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The responsibilities listed here represent the majority of the role but are not all-inclusive; other duties may be assigned.

  • Oversees the drafting, review, and execution of legal documents, including a high volume of clinician (Physician and Advance Practice Provider) contracts, amendments, and related agreements, ensuring quality, consistency, and alignment with organizational standards.
  • Manages a broad and complex portfolio of agreements, including healthcare system contracts, physician group agreements, third-party payer agreements, and employment or independent contractor arrangements.
  • Calendars and tracks key litigation dates (mediation, trial), including the management of 30/60 day-out tasks (assembling of medical records, claims committee review, etc) and ensures coordination and completion of such tasks.
  • Tracks and logs key litigation milestones, including intake of claim, submission of claim to insurance carrier, assignment of defense counsel, and provides weekly reporting of such activities to General Counsel and in-house counsel.
  • Partners with legal counsel as needed to support research, analysis, and resolution of complex contractual or regulatory matters.
  • Leads the development and continuous improvement of standard contracts, templates, playbooks, and procedures to enhance efficiency, consistency, and scalability of the contracting function.
  • Designs, implements, and oversees contracting workflows, including intake, prioritization, review, and approval processes, ensuring timely turnaround and a high level of internal service.
  • Ensures all contracts meet organizational, compliance, and regulatory standards, with a strong focus on accuracy, completeness, and risk mitigation.
  • Oversees contract lifecycle management, including drafting, negotiation support, documentation, execution, tracking, and ongoing administration.
  • Partners closely with internal stakeholders (operations, finance, compliance, and clinical leadership) to ensure accurate capture of business terms and alignment with operational needs.
  • Serves as a key point of contact for contracting matters, providing guidance, updates, and support to stakeholders across the organization.
  • Supports compliance-related reporting and documentation as it relates to contractual obligations.
  • Oversees or coordinates entity-related documentation and filings as needed to support contracting and operational requirements.
  • Leads, develops, and manages the contracting team, including prioritization of work, performance management, and ongoing development of team capabilities. Drives a culture of accountability, responsiveness, and high-quality service within the contracting function.
  • Identifies and implements opportunities for process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency to enhance throughput and reduce risk

SUPERVISORY RESPSONSIBILITES
This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with guidelines, policies and procedures and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems

  • Proficiency with MS Office applications or related software and experience with contract management systems or similar tools preferred.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently

Education / Experience:  Include minimum education, technical training, and/or experience preferred to perform the job.

Required:

  • Minimum 4 years of progressive experience in contract management, contract drafting, paralegal, or related roles, with demonstrated ownership of complex, high-volume contracting environments.
  • Paralegal experience required, with demonstrated experience drafting, reviewing, and managing contracts and legal documents.

Preferred:

  • Prior healthcare contracting experience
  • Paralegal certification (ABA-approved program or equivalent).
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, legal studies, or a related field.

  • Possess the ability to fulfill any office activities normally expected in an office setting, to include, but not limited to remaining seated for periods of time to perform computer-based work, participating in filing activity, lifting and carrying office supplies (paper reams, mail, etc.)
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20-25 pounds 
  • Fine hand manipulation (keyboarding)
